Benefits and Information on Yoga and Hula
You will find with consistent practice increased flexibility and muscle strength and tone, when you are moving and stretching your body, things start to repair. Yoga improves respiration, energy and vitality. It also maintains a balanced metabolism. Helps with weight reduction, cardio and circulatory health and improves athletic performance and is a great thing to add to your current work out schedule that protects you from injury's increasing balance and hand eye coordination. Yoga also helps calm the mind with various meditation and breathing techniques used through out a class, which can help with stress and anxiety. None of the yoga I teach is about flexibility, you do not need to be 'flexible' to attend, the aim is to gain flexibility along with everything else mentioned.
Yin is a slow intense stretch class held on the ground with poses held for up to 4 minutes. When you hold poses, during and on the rebound your connective tissue, muscles, nerves, tendons start to repair which in turn then strengthens your bones. Yin yoga is the ultimate relaxing class designed to help still the body and mind, we live in a busy world so the art of 'stillness' helps counteract that. Any 'body' can participate in this class, there are always variations to each pose to suit various things that have previously happened to an individual, example surgeries and reconstructions. You are always advised to stick within your limits of your body and bones this will then massively help with body issues example, lower back pain.
Vinyasa is a form of yoga which involves a stringing poses together completed and flowing into the next pose using the breath. I hold gentle slow flow Vinyasa classes, there are series of options advised during the session and you are once again advised to stick to which option you are comfortable with that suits you and your body and bones.
A beautiful class that is a combination of the slow gentle Vinyasa and Yin yoga.
Nudity is real, raw, freedom, liberation and promotes healing. The nude yoga classes done by myself are appropriate poses in a safe judgement free zone.
Hula hooping is great for burning calories and activating your muscles/connective tissue . It is an amazing core and full body workout, improves your spine's strength and flexibility, hand eye coordination and fine motor skills and certain movements even helping with thyroid issues. Where ever the hoop touches it tones.
